After a short stint consulting for Italian firms Creamus and CGD, Conseil moved to NYC in 1986. His management firm at that time (Modus Operandi) represented 3 acts. He was able to secure publishing and record deals for them all and was asked to consult for Warner Chappell music in the early 90s. His primary function was to secure US deals for European acts signed to the publishing giant. Among the releases secured were La Bouche, Captain Hollywood, Corona, B Tribe, Jennifer Paige, Robert Miles, Culture Beat. Every single one of them certified gold in the USA. Soon after ,Warner Chappell asked Conseil to join the company full time. Conseil held the position of V.P of Creative and International for 14 years. He continued to help artist get U.S deals. Among them: Billie Ray Martin, Amber and Dido. While at Warner Chappell, Conseil signed the following acts: Roger Sanchez, Janita, Lamya, Republica, Warren G, Pay the Girl and the most lucrative signing of all - MOBY. He also signed songwriters/producers Epicenter, Random,Twin, The Berman Brothers and Cosgrove and Clark who co-wrote the worldwide hit “Crush” by Jennifer Page and seven cuts on the platinum Dreamstreet album. Conseil secured in excess of 200 cuts internationally, in all music genres, while at W/C with artists as diverse as Ricky Martin, Laura Pausini, LMT, Soren Sko, Nana Mouskouri, 'N Sync, Cher, A Teens, L5, Baby do Brazil and Jakarta.

He left the company at the end of 2003 and a year later moved to Miami to run creative for the publishing arm of Eman enterprises. He arranged a network of sub publishers for the company while developing the seven contracted latin writers and adding anglo writer Jason Phelps to the roster , building the catalogue to over 500 copyright and securing 40 cuts in the Latin market with acts such as Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin, Ednita Nazario, Reik, J-LO, RBD and the song “Cancion del Pescado,” which won the Best New Artist Latin Grammy 2011 for Alex Jorje y Lena.

Pure Pop Music was created in 2007 with the signing of a J.V with Air Chrysalis Scand. for urban pop writer G White. His songs were recorded by Sugababes in the UK, DJ Drama in the US, Jodi in S.Africa, Joana Zimmer in Germany and Jessica Mauboy in Australia. In 2008 Conseil consulted for Denise Rich Songs/785 publishing in terms of writer relations and song plugging and Razor & Tie brought Conseil in to help with song plugging outside America and advise on sub publishing network.

The same year Conseil signed Latin hit writer Juan Carlos Perez Soto, whose agreement had terminated with Eman. Together they built a new catalogue of songs and Perez Soto inked a new co pub deal with EMI Music Publishing a year later.

Universal records France brought Conseil/Pure Pop in to be a creative consultant for French superstar Florent Pagny’s Spanish language album in 2008. With the artist, Conseil selected the12 songs for what became the # 1 record “Amar y Amar”,produced by Julio Reyes and released in 2009. The album is now certified triple platinum in France and features 4 Eman copyrights.

In 2009, Air Chrysalis asked Conseil to help with their producers in the US and song pitching. The most successful result was a top 4 single in the UK with “The Overtones.” That same year, SMV Germany hired Conseil to work with their writer/producer Ivo Moring in the USA

Conseil was hired as creative consultant for NY based Reservoir Media and did an admin deal with Reservoir for both Eman publishing and Pure Pop music in N. America in 2010.

In 2012, Conseil started consulting for Budde Musik in North America and is also the creative consultant for Round Hill music. He also facilitated the acquisition of Reverb Music UK by Reservoir Media and he is now working all reverb writers in the USA as well as new signing Phil Bentley ,who together with Jamie Hartman wrote a cut “Army of Me” on the current Chritina Aguilera record. Conseil also secured a cut on Johnny Hallyday’s new album. The song, originally written by Todd Wright and Mary Ann Redmond (Delapop) is a duet with Celine Dion and featured on Celine’s new French-language release (Diamond in France and 3x platinum in Canada). Both albums reached number one in the album charts in France with combined sales of over 1 million so far. Johnny was certified 4x platinum in France by year’s end.

Conseil splits the year between NYC and Los Angeles.

Pure Pop was created by music exec. Patrick Conseil - a well-liked, well-respected and passionate music industry professional with over 25 years experience. Patrick has extensive contacts at labels, relationships with established recording artists, managers, producers, music attorneys, major publishers and hit writers around the world. He is well known in breaking writers and securing cuts around the world.

Born and raised in southern France, Patrick Conseil moved to London at age 18. He worked at A&M Records, starting in the mail room and quickly working his way up to the position of A&R manager. In 1983, he signed He signed Austrian pop artist Falco in 1983 and scored a #1 hit in 21 countries with the single “Der Kommissar.” Falco's “Rock Me Amadeus” was a worldwide #1 hit in 1985.
