Pure Pop Music LLC was founded by Patrick Conseil.
From 1990 to 2003, Conseil served as Warner/Chappell Music’s Vice President of Creative & International (based in NYC). During his tenure at the company, he secured US releases for such artists as Billie Ray Martin, Amber, La Bouche, Captain Hollywood, and Dido, and signed superstar DJ Roger Sanchez, Swedish pop producers Epicenter, and Moby among others. Moby’s album Play was certified platinum in twenty countries and received unprecedented licensing in television, movies and commercials. Additionally, Conseil secured over 200 cuts internationally with artists as diverse as Ricky Martin, Cher, Laura Pausini, Kylie Minogue, Nana Mouskouri, and NSync, and scored worldwide top 10 hits with Jennifer Paige (''Crush'') and Republica (''Ready to Go''). He also signed a one album co-publishing deal with Warren G for his Take a Look Over Your Shoulder record in 1999.
After leaving Warner/Chappell, Conseil relocated to Miami Beach and ran creative for Latin music publisher Eman Enterprises, where he secured cuts with Luis Fonsi, Ricky Martin, Ednita Nazario, Reik, Jennifer Lopez, and RBD. While in Miami, he helped A&R the first Spanish language album for French superstar Florent Pagny. Released in 2009 by Universal, the album went to #1 and was certified triple-platinum in France.
From 2011 to 2015, Conseil was a creative consultant for Reservoir Media and for Round Hill Music. He brought Reverb Music UK to Reservoir (who acquired the company in 2012) and was instrumental in the signing of topline writer Phil Bentley. Conseil brought Danish writer/producer Rune Westberg to Round Hill, as well as the Bob Di Piero catalogue Love Monkey Music (which the company purchased in 2015).
Conseil took on a full time position as Sr. VP of creative for Round Hill Music in January 2016 and relocated to Los Angeles. During his tenure there, he signed writer/producer Morgan Taylor Reid (Chromeo, Joseph, Marshmello, American Authors); rock artist Cobi (300); UK based singer/songwriter Richard Walters; and Juno-nominated Hollywood recording artist Shawn Hook. Hook scored two top ten pop singles in Canada and major airplay here in the US with his duet “Reminding Me” with Vanessa Hudgens. Conseil secured over 100 singles while at Round Hill both domestically and internationally with artists as diverse as Part Time Friends, Carly Paige, Tegan Marie, American Authors, Axelle Red, Sam Fischer, Catherine McGrath, Travis Cormier, 3Lau feat Carly Paige, Mix5, Alvaro Soler, Desi Valentine, Mario Novembre; and Matt Simons, among others. Many of Conseil's co-writes were used in TV shows, movie trailers, and commercials including (but not limited to) Suits, Valor, Queen Sugar, the Lego movie trailer, and a Citroen C3 car commercial. He exited Round Hill at the end of 2017.
Currently, Conseil's focus is on building the Pure Pop Music brand. The company's back catalogue includes songs recorded by Celine Dion, Johnny Hallyday, Joana Zimmer, Astraea, Kim Sozzi, Marc Von Em, Cazette, and Dream Girls.
Born and raised in Southern France, Conseil moved to London at age 18. He worked for A&M records as an A&R manager. His first-ever signing was Austrian pop artist Falco, remembered for his worldwide hits “Der Kommissar” and the iconic, number 1 song “Rock Me Amadeus.” Conseil was interviewed for the Arte TV documentary Too Young to Die: Falco, now streaming on Netflix.
